About Kambo

As the medicine moves through your bloodstream ... it cleans out the fat, dirt and dead skin in your body’s pores, allowing your skin to breathe as it was meant to breathe... eliminating all of the toxins...

Peter Gorman, El Sapo in my Soul

Kambo is a secretion from the monkey frog, a bright green tree frog native to the Amazon basin. It's a cocktail of compounds called peptides, short chains of amino acids, which are the building blocks of protein.

It travels through the body via the lymphatic system, entering the cells' receptor sites to release and clean up suppressed toxins brought on by an accumulation of toxic waste material in the body.

Kambo has bioactive peptides and neuropeptides. Bioactive peptides have the ability to recognise and bind to cell receptor sites triggering a chemical reaction in the body.

Neuropeptides are produced in the brain to help neurons communicate with each other influencing activities in the brain e.g. endorphins acting as a natural pain blocker.

Kambo Experience

Kambo is intense and fast. Allow 1.5 - 2.5 hours for a treatment. This allows time to experience hapay and sananga.

After drinking 1.5-litres of water Kambo is applied in the traditional way which is on the upper left arm of men taking kambo for the first time, or on the lower right leg of women, for first time.

It travels through the lymphatic system via the gate, a small dot burned on the skin. With a quick flick of an incense stick the gate is open, ready for kambo.

The number of gates burned varies from person to person. On average the first time is usually 3 points. One kambo dot is applied to test your sensitivity.

Once you feel the effects of the Kambo from the first point and there are no adverse reactions, the rest of the points are added.

As the kambo travels through your body, the different peptides are released working their way through the body, creating different sensations.

During your experience you will feel sickly, this is a release of your toxins into your blood stream, you will then feel a need to purge to eliminate them.

Although kambo is an appetite suppressor, it is however important to eat something light once rested, to balance blood sugar levels and electrolytes.

"I've really felt alive this week the day after working with the medicine my body was a bit tired but my energy levels have increased as the week’s gone on. I've got a more positive calmer mind and really feel clean inside. I have to thank you for the experience it's helped me a lot.

The after affects for me are a feeling of having been greatly cleaned out on a physical level but there is also a real clarity of mind with a sense of direction and purpose. I feel like my energy centres (chakras) have been cleaned. It feels like a system reboot, a control, alt, delete for the soul.

It feels great, all the blues and silly thoughts have gone and I hope it stays like this. And physically I feel great too. The description of all the benefits that are written in your website ..... I feel them all.

It is powerful and intense though in all the right ways. Vomiting often has negative connotations and in this case the effect was very positive and also somehow intelligent in that I could sense the Kambo ensuring that only what is no longer needed at every level was being purged (physical, emotional & metaphysical).
